it symbolizes many things and is perfect in even more ways.
the only thing i don’t like about it: it already exists.
we all knew it was coming. and for all the time we knew, it was never a big deal. but when it eventually happened, we realized how little we knew about it. one last drink at the bar, one last hug on the roof, and finally, one last glimpse of a face that’s been such an integral part of your life. we will see his face again, maybe in paris, or maybe even here in new york. but that glimpse, that was still the last. the last of now, the last of this time. it was as much of a glimpse of him as it was a reflection of us. nothing will change, but nothing will be the same again.
